Orange county breast lift and augmentation expert, explains the different types of breast lifts available and what to expect after a breast lift or mastopexy procedure.
Newport Beach breast lift is most often necessary in patients who have gone through childbearing, and in particular have breast feed their babies. Also patients who have had massive weight loss either from bariatric surgery like the lap band or the gastric bypass and usual patients that require a lift. In small percentage of cases, a breast implant can provide a small lift and fill the deflated breast.
The types of Orange county breast lift or mastopexy available include: the crescent mastopexy, circumareolar mastopexy, vertical (lollipop) lift, and the full mastopexy or anchor lift. Each lift listed provides certain improvements and need to be individualized accordingly. The crescent lift or mastopexy involved removing a crescent shaped area of skin and tissue just at the edge of the superior aspect of the areola. The areola is lifted and placed into the new position. This is a type of lift commonly used when also performing a long beach breast augmentation procedure. The crescent beast lift is reserved for patients who need a minimal lift and more commonly used to even out the level of the nipple and areola.
The circumareolar lift is the next step in the Newport Beach breast lift armamentarium. It involves making the areola smaller and making an incision around the outside of the areola and removing the skin here and then closing the circle with a special suture that closes the skin in a purse string fashion. This mastopexy procedure is also used commonly with breast implants.
